RATHER BE

Commissioned in 2015, this was my first arrangement for William Paterson University’s Collage Series. I wrote every element of this piece based off of the pop tune, “Rather Be”. It was quite the challenge! My first score for SATB choir as well. Why not throw in concert band, jazz band, and as many percussionists as we had able? It was a fun challenge and made for a great video too.

 TAKE ME HOME

The WPU Choir performed a show-stopping a capella arrangement by Jonathan Rodgers, but the piece didn’t have any band parts. I added music for the concert band and jazz band to play to accompany the choir.

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY

For the 2019 Collage concert the Music Department was looking to close with a pop tune. They had the band parts, and were looking to add an SATB arrangement on top. The WPU Choir did an excellent job of performing my transcription of Bohemian Rhapsody, played over the top of a published band arrangement.
