This was a mix between copywork and arranging. Verona Middle School needed a big band score to be fine-tuned to fit their needs. I added additional parts and harmonies to an existing score to help challenge their students and add bigger voicings to this arrangement.
We Will Rock You
Now this is a classic for any elementary band concert. This score has brass parts that match an existing string arrangement. This enabled students in the brass section to play along!
White Christmas
Pequannock Township High School commissioned me to write a Big Band arrangement of “White Christmas” that follow along with a choir score written by PTHS Choir Director, William Arnold. The parts were copied from the Broadway score and arranged for big band and choir! Yes, Big Band and Choir, the new thing! This was the closer to their 2018 Winter Concert.
