Clark’s Here

Well, last month we had some really exciting news on our end. Allison gave birth to our son, Clark! It was truly an adventure, something that I’ll never forget. To be honest with you the birth was nothing like what we planned for. He was about 10 days early! The night before he was born I was chatting with my mom and a few friends on the phone, just talking back on things and I was still thinking that I had another week before he was coming.

In fact I had a make-up lesson at 530pm with a student the day before he was born, then around 1am labor started for real. We made our way to the hospital in our own terms… mainly through a LOT of scary night time driving. It was crazy to see the roads with so few people on them.

He was born just shy of 8 am. 7 pounds even. And YES he was named after Clark Terry, one of my favorite musicians. We’re excited for our next step with our family. The crazy thing about having Clark so far is that I know the music will continue in my life someway and somehow. He’s already been so inspiring by just being here with us, I know that as things settle into place with Clark that we’ll be back out there as things open up in 2021 and the pandemic restrictions start to be lifted.

Thanks for reading so far and stay in touch!
