My mentor, Diane Moser.

This photo brought back a lot of memories. This was from spring 2014 when I was studying at WPU. I put on an arrangement for the music department with ALL of the ensembles playing simultaneously and I made a post or two about it on Facebook as I am often to do. It was the pop tune "Rather Be".

Diane Moser just showed up! It was such a treat! She heard about the arrangement (you know she loved Facebook) and just came to the concert to support me. That just describes the kind of person she was. WOW. We really miss her and losing her this year was such a loss for our family and the musical community in New Jersey. She really supported Allison and I in our various ventures, even once coming to a Big Beat concert literally DAYS after completing a medical procedure. She LOVED to get out and support people. I need to remember that spirit of support and care as I get older because it really does make a difference.

Losing Diane this year was difficult but I know her music will live on in me and the hundreds of musicians and friends she reached through her music.
