Big Beat Recording Session

Big Beat Big Band had an exciting live recording session on February 29th, 2020. Leap Day! We recorded in front of a live audience at a space we rented in Parsippany, NJ. Shout out to Parsippany Prebyterian Church for being so kind to us!

We gathered the entire band for a video shoot in front of a live audience. As a DIY event, it was stressful to put together. Whether it was making sure the audience had a working system to order and place tickets, the band chairs were filled, or there was a enough food for the 50+ people in attendance, the stress was high. And what about the music itself? We decided to record FOUR brand new songs, never played before!

In the end it worked out great! I have a couple of photos that I’d like to share here that capture the joy of the day. It was excellent to get the band together and to record! Here’s to more this year with Big Beat.
